this is a nice description on how you can "import" changes from a PR into your working copy, do changes while preserving authorship etc.

not necessary, but interessting to improve the git workflow (I am also started using it for a few weeks now)

Ah that's very different from how I do it. I just follow the 'command line instructions' git has on every PR
