could be referring to a container as in "a tin can" or it could denote the ability or option to do something (among other things). The meaning of the word changes with the context and the etymology might as as well.
A proposal would be to generate a target word, generate a sentence using that target word (providing the context), then determine the etymology of that target word based on the context given in the sentence.
