One way to learn js quick... #1

This will give some quick exercises to begin getting the "gist" of how you can work with JS.

Also using the p5 online editor will allow you get see how the "canvas" works. p5 online editor

Khanacademy also has a ton a specific tutorials on how to integrate js with HTML. They are reasonably quick and guided to help you get the most out of your time.

Oh... using libraries is not cheating. That is like saying using a recipe to learn to cook is cheating... that's what someone would say to you if they were "trying to be ridiculous".

Please use a library otherwise you might as well literally take your hands in handcuffs and type everything with your nose. #Don'tBeANoseTyper
