it would be nice to use this for doing transcriptions, but when opening a srt file, subed does not look for the corresponding mp3 file.

Have you tried adding "mp3" to subed-video-extensions?

I had not tried, and came back here after I did, just to find your hint :blush:

That's ok. I wasn't sure it would work.
