Online scratchpad: don't change page when "Save" is clicked #24

Hello,

I understand that you want to encourage users to sign up to Flowrun but there are legal issues concerning minors which make it preferable (in my case, at least) to use Flowrun without an account. I ask my students to use it via https://flowrun.io/scratchpad .

Could you please make it that clicking on the "Save" button does not redirect to a new page but shows the registration message while staying in the same page? Otherwise, students will lose their focus if the page is changed.

This is not to impact on your business model, I hope you will get many subscribers, it's simply that for legal reasons it's best to use local software, and one of the reasons I picked Flowrun is the Apache 2.0 license and local operability. I know I can always run a local instance of FlowRun but I think this simple change will have no impact on your capability to attract paying users, it's just a practical fix to avoid changing page when someone is working on something.

Please note that my personal problem is not being unwilling to pay. Right now our school uses Flowgorithm, which is proprietary but gratis, so it would be hard to convince everyone to pay for something else. I am encouraging the switch because Flowrun is FLOSS and runs on any device with a web browser, but sadly I don't have any way to make the school pay for Flowrun plans. I would donate a small sum of money of my personal pocket if you provided a different payment system than buymeacoffee, though, even itch.io would be OK (there are similar programs there and it could even help you increase your business).

Thank you for listening, have a nice day.

@fpesari thanks for using FlowRun, glad you find it useful.
Your request makes sense I guess, it isnt so obvious what Save does.
Maybe I can add a popup question, "are you sure, this will redirect you to login", or something similar..
I will think about it and report back, I am on vacation currently.
