Crash with too many VPs near end of Prosperity #660

GoogleCodeExporter commented 9 years ago
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Play a game with lots of King's Court, Grand Market, Bishop (i.e.: get and
trash a lot of cards for VPs)
2. Once you get above ~200 VP chips or so, trashing cards gets increasingly
slower as the amount of RAM used up by the app skyrockets. I don't know that
I've ever managed to get even 250 VP chips without the app crashing.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Shouldn't crash.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
4.01 on CyanogenMod 7

I suspect this could be an issue in other versions as well, but it certainly
seems to be tied to Bishoping for VPs late in a long, high-scoring King's-Court
game. I usually play games within an expansion rather than all sets random, so
I don't know if it occurs in isolation with Bishop or whatever.

after cherry picking kingdom cards in dominion shuffle for,

fortress
alchemist
watchtower
bishop
city
goons
kings court
fishing village
pirate ship
wharf

i've played games to more than 3000vp without the app crashing. i just played
one to more than 2000vp in v5.00 without it crashing. there was maybe a little
slowdown while trashing fortresses with bishop. i had no problem trashing cards
as i bought them.

Original poster here. On my new phone, android 4.?, I can get over 2000 points
without it ever crashing. Maybe the older version just did not have enough RAM.
