After seeing your webpage, I just love the aesthetic it has. I am surprised that you said your API was limiting since it looks like you got a lot of info for each animal. I can say I envy you because TailWindCSS is not my favorite, I found it quite difficult to incorporate into my application. As for criticism, I think figuring out how to display the animal images after they've been clicked on would suffice as an improvement. I see that you did not add a source in your image tag just alt.
