File selection issue with IE6 and jquery v1.4

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Go to http://www.fyneworks.com/jquery/multiple-file-upload/
2. For Example 7, try select a file using the Browse button

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Expected output: the selected file should appear in the file list 
automatically and the file input text field should empty itself.

Current output: the selected file does not appear in the file list and the 
file input text field does not empty itself

What version of the plugin/jQuery are you using?
PLUGIN VERSION: 1.46
JQUERY VERSION: 1.4 (the issue does not occur for jquery 1.3.2 is used

On what browser(s) or operating system?
BROWSER(S): IE6

The project has been dormant for over a year and many of the support requests have been resolved and/or are invalid. So we're going to archive them all, pending review.
