If you have a dpad, pressing up will cycle through commands. If you do not,
when the touch keyboard is up you can swipe up down left or right to get the
same behavior as the dpad

The incredible 1 had a trackball which could be used to scroll through the
command history. Most new phones do not have a trackball. It would be nice for
there to be a way to scroll through previous commands with some form of swipe
as another comment suggests.

The swipe method already works.

Maybe I'm doing something wrong. Swiping up and down scrolls the screen and
let's me read the history, but it doesn't allow me select and re use any of the
commands in the history. Swiping left and right does nothing. The trackball
let's me pick a previous command and then hit return to execute the command.
How exactly should I be doing the swipe motion? Thanks.

With the softkeyboard open, you must swipe up or down on the softkeyboard
itself.

Awesome! Thanks for clarifying that. Great program!

Ok, this was awesome up until the last update. It seems the native keyboard
with the swipe up for history feature has been removed, and now the app just
uses the stock android keyboard. What happened?

The keyboard swipe to get previous commands doesn't work on my HTC Wildfire.
The only way around this is to write an m script and run it. That way it can be
re-edited if I make a mistake. Nevertheless, scrolling through command history
would be very useful.

I have found that the swipe feature is working again on my phone (bionic). But
during the time that it was broken, I found that the "hacker's keyboard"
available through the android market is a good workaround with "up" arrows that
work to scroll through the history.

Thanks for the tip. "Hacker's keyboard" is good and the arrow keys are working.
I just hope it does not send any sensitive information away as it has access to
personal data.
I would prefer to use Addi keyboard as it has many useful short-cuts for
mathematical operators. It's a shame it doesn't work on my HTC for some reason.
