Hi, it's the first time I've tried to setup this sunshine-deck server, so I am not sure how the current install method compares with the old one that other people referred to in past issues.

However, after running the install script that creates the desktop shortcut, I get the following output in Konsole (with many errors, mostly related to missing libraries)

[sudo] password for deck:

Getting this same issue did you solve it?

alfred1000351 commented 9 months ago

@safijari just seeing if you have any tips for when this error comes up. If we're missing anything

Just to add that I did not solve my issue and just gave up on using this project (currently just plugging the deck via HDMI and getting by using traditional joypad). I am still hoping to solve it though at some point if the author ever gets back to us ...

s0th1s commented 8 months ago

I am getting the same error with this project installer.

_Failed to connect to session bus: Failed to execute child process ?dbus-launch? (No such file or directory)__

Is there any update on this issue or is the project no longer being maintained?

Thanks for any updates.

@safijari Hi Jari, I'm also experiencing the missing dbus-launch issue. Can you let us know how to fix this please? Thank you kindly.

philippthiele commented 8 months ago

same issue here unfortunately

safijari commented 7 months ago

I get the same dbus error but it doesn't interfere with actually using sunshine. Can y'all get to the web UI? Have you tried pairing another device?

gituser23234235234887 commented 7 months ago

@safijari so I got this error after first run, first run was fine but after that I keep getting this error.

can't get to webui as it gives a 404 error for some reason, if the port was closed it shouldn't give 404, but it does so at least the program progresses somewhat.

normal sunshine flatpak runs fine. so can you tell me the use of everything in the below command? so I can decide if normal flatpak launch is good enough for me or not.

sudo -i PULSE_SERVER=unix:$(pactl info | awk '/Server String/{print$3}') flatpak run --socket=wayland dev.lizardbyte.app.Sunshine
gituser23234235234887 commented 7 months ago

also when I ran the normal sunshine flatpak, it openned on port 47990 instead 47989 and asked for new password as if its a first time run.
