AUR for portmaster is broken error is There is no tracking information for the current branch #88

AUR Explicit (1): portmaster-stub-bin-1.0.0-1 :: (0/1) Downloaded PKGBUILD: portmaster-stub-bin -> error fetching portmaster-stub-bin: There is no tracking information for the current branch. Please specify which branch you want to rebase against. See git-pull(1) for details.

git pull <remote> <branch>

If you wish to set tracking information for this branch you can do so with:

git branch --set-upstream-to=origin/<branch> master 
     context: exit status 1

replicated by doing yay -S portmaster-stub-bin

i suspect by the comments on the AUR that a user by the name of {lockeanarchist} link here https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/portmaster-stub-bin is to blame for this as he claims he adopted it and updated it not knowing it was up to date and now i can not install port master please fix.

Hey @seanfire99, does this issue still exist?

From the output it seems that the issue is with your git configuration, not with the package.

We do not have any other reports about this.
