.. math:: environment ignored in the live documentation #145

.. math:: environments seem to be ignored in the live documentation. See e.g. the second method random_element in http://localhost:8000/doc/live/reference/sage/algebras/quatalg/quaternion_algebra.html (with the notebook running on your machine).

Note: on sagenb.org this is at http://sagenb.org/doc/live/reference/sage/algebras/quatalg/quaternion_algebra.html

The inline math environments work fine. The same .. math environment work fine in the static documentation

I think we just need to delete whatever thing that is producing images instead of using mathjax in the live documentation. Then mathjax will work just fine.

EDIT: The image that is linked as imgscr="../../../*.png" actually is created and loads just fine, when I give the actual path on browser URL. I think the mathjax tag is incorrect there.

I cannot reproduce this. There is only mathjax. I have no idea what fixed it, possibly an upgrade to sagenb.org or something else - there have been several things here tinkering with mathjax such as #97. I'm also closing Trac 11281.
