make it easy to set a personal "template" for the layout for editing a specific type of file #7658

"I can't choose a default LaTeX editor layout. For me, I don't want the build log under the PDF preview, and prefer a slightly higher zoom for the PDF preview. Consequently, every single time I start work on a new LaTeX file, I have to close the build log and increase the PDF zoom. It's not a big deal, but I've been doing this for literally years across probably over 100 LaTeX files. It would be nice to just hit "set as default layout" in the LaTeX editor and be done with it."

This is probably easy to implement too!

I've been wanting to do a lot more with personal templates anyways.
