High Usage Maxing-out CPU #320

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 8 years ago

Is it reproducible? No
What version of the product are you using? Ver 2.3.0 X64
On what operating system (XP,Vista,7,32/64bit)? Windows 7 64-bit
What is the language of your operating system/keyboard language? English

Please provide any additional information below.

This has happened 5-6 times that I have noticed in the last six months. 7Plus
will begin to completely consume one CPU on my 8 processor Intel i7-950. The
icon becomes unresponsive. I am forced to kill it with the Task Manager and
restart it. It appears to come up, then, correctly. I am a Software Engineer by
trade and would be happy to work with you getting whatever other information
would help. I really like the product, but this gets to be a bit of a nusance.
Are there debug/log features that I can turn on that would leave you some trace
of this when it next happens.

I have seen this issue a few times myself but I haven't been able to track it
down yet. If it was easier to reproduce it could maybe be found by disabling
features until it no longer occurs. There is debug output generated by 7plus,
but I'm not sure if it will help. I might add debug output to all possible
loops and events and see if it can be found. To enable debugging, download
DebugView and put it in 7plus\DebugView. Then set DebugEnabled=1 in
%appdata%\7plus\settings.ini and start 7plus.
Please let me know if you find anything suspicious.

Thanks for your help,
Chris
