You need to enable the statusbar through the View menu. Otherwise it's
obviously useless.
Could you describe what you did in some more detail? The youtube videos are
pretty old and some things may have changed. The next version will be released
very soon and some of these things have been reworked, so your errors might be
fixed.

Thanks for getting back to me,
I'm not sure what you mean by "the View menu." Is that a menu in Windows? I
don't see an option for the status bar in the folder options settings. Nor do I
see anything in 7 plus.
As for the rest,
Pasting to new file (text or image): I have text in my clipboard, I have an
open explorer window. I press Ctrl+V. Nothing happens. The context menu option
to paste is greyed out. Same for images.
Explorer tabs: Actually I figured this out on my own, I had this set up
improperly, i.e. for middle clicking.
Explorer buttons: I don't even know what this means, but I don't see any
explorer buttons for any option or action specifying an explorer button as the
trigger. For example, I have the "new text file" explorer button Event checked,
but there is no new button in the explorer bar.
Timer: I don't know how to describe this except that I can't get the timer to
work in any way. For example, if I right click on the 7 plus tray icon, select
"Start Timer," nothing happens. This also applies to e.g., Taskbar Events.
There is a "MenuItem Start Timer in Tray" event that doesn't seem to do
anything, the context menu for the task bar does not have this option. Maybe I
am using the feature wrong?

You can press "Alt" in explorer to bring it up.
The new 7plus version was released today. Please test it and let me know if the
other issues persist.

Unfortunately, the new version causes explorer to crash randomly when double
clicking on files. Maybe I should open a new issue for that, but I've had to
stop using 7 plus after the most recent update. :(

Sorry to hear that. I'm going to test on x64 tomorrow and see if I can
reproduce that.

After restarting my computer, it doesn't seem to do that anymore. So, an update
on the other issues:
Pasting to new file: still does nothing.
Explorer buttons: still do not appear.
Timer: this works now.
There is a new issue, though. 7 plus seems to randomly disable the media keys.
I have media keys for play/pause, changing volume, and launching applications.
I restarted my computer because after updating to the new version of 7 plus,
they stopped working. After restarting, they seemed to work for a while, but
then stopped. Even if I exit 7 plus, they still don't work. Then sometimes,
they will just start working again without any rhyme or reason. This is more or
less a killer issue, like it's totally unacceptable and I can't use 7 plus if
it does this. Should i start a new issue for it?

Actually, as to the timer: middle clicking on the clock will launch options to
start a timer, but selecting the 7 plus context menu option (i.e. right
clicking on the 7 plus icon) still does nothing.

Not sure about your pasting issues, this has always worked fine for me when I
tested it, even in x64. Using any other clipboard utilities, special
mouse/keyboard drivers or so?
You can try enabling the settings in the fast folder page, it executes some
code then that might help with the display of the explorer buttons.
Does it affect any keys other than the ones used for volume? If yes, then it
might be a conflict with keyboard drivers or similar. If only volume keys are
affected you can try disabling the events that use them. They're only used for
displaying the volume On-Screen-Display.

Copy to file really isn't that big a deal. But no, I have no other clipboard
software.
All media keys stopped working reliably when I updated 7 plus. There are the
following keys: Media, Mail, Home, Calculator, Play/Pause, Vol Down, Vol Up,
Mute. None of them work, even after exiting 7 plus, even after uninstalling it.
Except, sometimes they will work for no apparent reason and then stop suddenly.
I have no special keyboard drives, just the native PS/2 keyboard driver that
came with Windows. The events for using the volume keys in 7 plus were all
disabled.

7plus does nothing that would stop them from working while it is not running.

You're right about the timer menu entry by the way, I have this issue as well.
I'll have to fix this.

Sorry for the alarm on that front. I think it was actually another program, and
not 7 plus. When I exited this other program, they worked as expected.
For the most part, my only real issues was when it randomly crashed explorer,
which it no longer does. So, there's no problem anymore there.
Copy to file and explorer buttons are not really huge deals either. Just
thought I would mention that.

Good to know that it worked out. It's always better to check for other programs
that might interfere.
I'm going to test those other issues you mentioned on an x64 system tomorrow.
Please continue to report any possible bugs you might find, it's often easy to
overlook them as a developer.

I tested on an x64 machine now and explorer seems to work fine for me, both
explorer buttons and no crashes. However, I noticed that screen capturing
doesn't seem to work (print key). Can you confirm this?

It was a bug in the ListView class that also had other side effects. It's fixed
now.
