Hi there, i've read a tons of post about remuco and n95 over bluetooth. And
as others i have same problems to select a device from my phone. I can
easily see my bluetooth adaptater (thanks to the faq and piscan), i can see
the package installed and i can edit the conf file attached to the plugin
for rhythmbox.

Everything looks good. I've also try the d-bus tweak from fedora forums.
But nothing changes, remuco still won't find a service on my computer. I've
tried with custom files included in remuco-testing. Still nothing. This
morning i tried to install 0.9.1.1 and still nothing (but i can't build the
.jar for my mobile phone). I have discovered remuco in past week, i'm
impressed by the features and i want getting it working.

Have spotted a video on youtube with n95 running under older version. Is
that possible ? Or is there a mysterious tweak i've not made ?

Thanks to all, and my greetings to the developpement team.

It looks like it's the same problem as posted in this thread:
https://sourceforge.net/forum/forum.php?thread_id=2186436&forum_id=568227

The video you have seen shows Remuco 0.7. Since this version, service
search has changed a bit. But probably this is not the reason as you've
checked the test versions of the client. One of them does the service
search like it has been done 0.7.

How about WiFi, AFAIK the N95 has WLAN support. Did you try that?

Thx for the tip, i'll try with exaile and a fresh installation on my cell
phone.

I saw that was with 0.7 (i would try it but i can't install it from ppa,
maybe have to build from source.. later this night maybe).

First i'll try with exail, and with wifi but it consumes a lot of battery
and the player is on a wired computer... So i'll test it :)

Thanks for advice,

Installing 0.7 from the PPA might still work, in the thread
https://sourceforge.net/forum/forum.php?thread_id=3184847&forum_id=568227
at the 6th and 7th post, there are some instructions for how to install the
Remuco 0.7 deb packages on a more recent Ubuntu system.

I have something like luck with me but BT works !!
For now its a bit unpredictable. But it seems to run perfectly.

As i can remember the only change i've maid is to install wammu and gammu.
Maybe it furnish to my system something to pair and let rhythmbox be
controlled by phone.

My first impression are cleary good ! That is an awesome tool to be quiet
and far away from the computer.

I dunno what's possible to do with the phone but there is some problem
while browsing music (only 618 tracks appears, my library is larger than
30,000 songs) so i thinks the only good way to navigate into music is the
search functionnality. Maybe it will be usefull if we could have several
stages of navigation like artist/albums albums/genre or something else.

Last but not least thanks and cheers to you. Your work is really impressive.

Great to hear that :)

The reason for the small number of songs may be that you had a filter
enabled in Rhythmbox for the "Music" playlist. The Rhythmbox adapter is
designed to show the same list content like this seen within the Rhythmbox
UI. But here it might be useful to add section in the media browser which
always lists all songs, independent of any active filters.

The album/artist browser stuff is already implemented in the XMMS2 adapter.
For sure something similar would be good for Rhythmbox. If you have some
experiences in Python programming, feel free to start that task :)
Otherwise I'll work on this later some time.

If you don't mind, you can send some information about your phone using the
tool remuco-report. See its man page for details. That would be a nice
contribution.

Sorry for that i've no skill in python and i'm quite patient. But i'm not
too bad to won't give any contribution. I've tried therefore to use
remuco-report but it said that i have never connected any phone.

Quite strange :)

Always having fun on remuco :)... very impressive.

Oops, that's strange indeed. Actually once a phone has connected, there
should be the file ~/.cache/remuco/devices which contains some information
about your device. Does this file exist?

Ignoring the Rhythmbox and report tool related comments, this actually is (or
was) a
bug and should get merged into issue #5.
