erratic behavior in IE #6

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. submit form using IE 8.0.6001.18702 on Win XP
2.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
expect the form to save without issue
instead it pops up the "navigate away" warning. note that it is throwing the 
warning when someone tries to submit the form -- which should not happen. 
submit is the correct action.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
v1.1, Win XP, IE 8.0.6001.18702
it appears the issue is unique to this OS/browser. it does not occur on other 
revisions working on Vista/Win7

Please provide any additional information below.
