Update regression test for multiblocks

Thanks for the changes. Your commits cannot currently be automatically merged -- please update your branch to sync with the multigpu branch in sailfish-team. You will need to do some code changes as well, including the way you build file names -- we now have functions for that in the sailfish.io module.

Also, please update the description and title of the pull request so that they are more informative (say what you're changing).

I have merged your commits but it involved some heavy editing. For future changes, please make sure you're working with a clean branch that is cloned from the current sailfish-team/multigpu. Thanks for the fix in the LDC code and for the test extensions!
