Applications not being added to Launcher

Device: Xperia XZ2 Compact

Steps to reproduce:

• Install waydroid from chum
• Install .apk using either the playstore (gapps) or using the install command
• Apps exist in waydroid ui. but not in sfos launcher.

Not sure if this is expected behaviour. If yes, please gimme a work around to fix it. I remember apps being added to launcher in Ubports.
