hai, I just got stuck on waiting for on Android UI

here is how I install it. first, install waydroid package from the terminal.

and then accidentally install this two package waydroid-settings or waydroid-runner

run waydroid init and download system & vendor image

and reboot. but still waiting for android UI, if use waydroid-runner. if using waydroid-settings the waydroid window automatically closed. I'm removing one of those two packages waydroid-settings or waydroid-runner.

still cannot run waydroid. any idea?

What device do you have?

Did you do "waydroid init" ?

Can you provide logs, as root, "waydroid log" and "waydroid logcat"

Isn't it ironic that you just installed SFOS and immediately start installing Waydroid?

I have seen waydroid-runner failing to start session when under RAM pressure. For example, with other opened programs. If it fails to start with the helper utility waydroid-runner, then use waydroid as a regular script. So, if you are interested in debugging the issue, you could start separately in one terminal waydroid session start and in the other waydroid show-full-ui. See if that works.

Note that over here we expect issues mainly related to packaging, not Waydroid issues as such.

I apologize for that, I'm just curious to try new sailfish os 4.2 on xz2. and see for my self about the new anbox that is now called waydroid. for sure if I'm looking for stability I will buy the official device and go with aliendalvik, but the most powerful official device sony 10 ii, is not cheap in here. and compared to xz2. sony xz2 is a way better price for performance.
