Screen flickering during boot #195

With the bump of the kernel to 4.14.264, I am getting screen flickering (SONY logo) while booting. That's before screen increases intensity and shows encryption dialog. Was not happening with .254 even if I keep all the rest same as for SFOS 4.5

No other issues showed up with .264, but it is still weird.

Screen flickering is caused by https://github.com/sailfishos-sony-tama/android_kernel_sony_msm/commit/503a4c11aa3d5be335e3573de36b6c2f7b89b392

Related to https://github.com/sonyxperiadev/bug_tracker/issues/757 . As described in the issue, looks to have that effect on boot but is probably more useful for users.

I confirm the flickering on boot on xz2compact but except that the device seems to work really well! Thank you for your work! I'm new in Sailfish thanks to this project and it's awesome!

The Always-On-Display (Sailfish LPM) on lowest Brightness (in Dark Areas) is also affected from this Flickering since the bump of the kernel to 4.14.264. I used it for some time but did turn it off again.
