Dear all, I followed your guide on https://github.com/sakaki-/gentoo-on-rpi-64bit/wiki/Running-32-bit-Raspbian-Packages-on-your-64-bit-Gentoo-System step by step. I am trying to run the chromium-browser from the Raspbian image because it offers hardware acceleration for video playback on Raspberry Pi 4. I checked by directly booting the Raspbian image that the video playback acceleration is working. However, when I follow your guide and start chromium-browser in chroot the acceleration does not work. I get lots of error messages in the console. One error message might be related to the issue: [1991:2010:0515/135800.391089:ERROR:sandbox_ipc_linux.cc(172)] Failed to open /dev/vcio: Permission denied (13) Any idea how I can get chromium-browser to work in the sandbox with full acceleration?

30 Oct 2020: sadly, due legal obligations arising from a recent change in my 'real world' job, I must announce I am standing down as maintainer of this project with immediate effect. For the meantime, I will leave the repo up (for historical interest, and since the images may be of use still in certain applications); however, there will be no further updates to the underlying binhost etc., nor will I be accepting / actioning further pull requests or bug reports from this point. Email requests for support will also have to be politely declined, so, please treat this as an effective EOL notice.

For further details, please see my post here.

Many thanks for your interest in this project!

With sincere apologies, sakaki ><
