I would like to see more options in this feature. Despeckle is very important and in most cases behaves good, but there are some notable exceptions: it often destroys dots in table of contents and final dot after quotation mark. Losing table of contents dots is not so big thing, but losing period after quotation mark is. It happens regardless of despeckle glider settings. In most cases I am using 300 dpi grayscale/color source images and this may be a bit problematic, but introducing more control to despecle feature should help preventing Scan Tailor from cutting out the dots. Also advanced program preferences would be nice to have as it is useful to save some settings for later usage.
I am generally trying to keep the number of options to the minimum, but adjustment of despeckling aggressiveness is being worked on right now. Also, the default will be made less aggressive.
