MP reports "mode unknown" for POS Hold #440

Arducoper NG or ACM?
ACM 2.6  MP 1.1.96

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1.Setup pos_hold as one of the flight modes.
2.Switch to pos_hold anytime MP is connected.
3.MP says "mode unknown". The copter is doing the right thing though.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
MP to report " mode changed to position hold" and display position hold on the 
HUD.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?

Still an issue in MP 1.2.31.
Toy gives the same
OF_Loiter shows Stabilize
