MP Landing Suggestion #496

I hope this is the right place to post this.
I've noticed that the land command is not land and stay down.

Has anyone considered using the sonar to cut the motors when the copter gets to 
less than 6-inches in altitude?

I know there has been some changes in "land" so please resubmit to the new 
issues list (see below) if you still think this should be done after APM SW 2.9
