Hi, thanks for this bug report. Can you try the new version 0.9.3.8.3? It is
working on my Magic (running 2.1).
Let me know!
Thanks.

Hi. I tried 9.3.8.3 and I had the same problem. Tried reinstalling for the hell
of it and still had trouble.
It pukes when I try to add the widget and also when I reboot the phone.
Would it help a great deal if I learned how to install the SDK and get the
output?
Thanks for addressing this! Once this app is working for me again, it will be
superb! Hell, even when it's not working 100%, it's still great!

Hi.
1 - The first thing to try would be to un-install the app
(settings->applications->manage apps->EmWeather->uninstall. Reboot the phone.
Then re-install. It may be some settings/widget parts left from an older
version.
2 - Installing the SDK would definitely help me. Basically, you install the
SDK, plug your phone in. Run from a terminal/command prompt "adb logcat" (it
will output a lot of information about what your phone is currently doing).
Then try to add the widget. Cut and paste the error for me. I think I put an
example in the wiki.
If you are having trouble with the SDK, let me know and I will try to help
(also, tell me if you are on linux, mac, or windows).
3 - A few other questions to help me narrow this down: Does the app itself
work normally? Just the widgets are crashing? What Icon Set are you using?
If you change it to the default Environment Canada ones or another set does it
make a difference? Which widget size are you adding or is it for all the
widgets? What is the error menu that comes up, ie. "not responding" or "died
unexpectedly"? Which city do you have selected? Anything else you think might
be relevant.
Thanks!

I found where the bug is, there is a function I am using to draw the icons
which does not exist in 1.5. I will take a look at this tonight.

1. I tried, but it did not fix the problem.
2. I will attempt to install the SDK tonight or tomorrow depending on my
ability and whether or not the problem is fixed. I'll run it on Ubuntu 10.04.
3. - It crashes when I try to add any widget or if I leave the app running. It
crashes when I reboot the phone, even without the widget.
- I tried many icons, including default.
- It "stops unexpectedly."
Thanks again. I hope you did already figure it out!

Please try 0.9.3.8.4, I believe I have fixed this issue. Thanks again for the
bug report. Please let me know of any other issues or desired features you may
have in the future!
Also, if you have a moment, I'd love to know what you think of the widget
design, the new icon sets, and if there are any things you wish I could add to
the app/widgets. You can email me at emweather + the standard google ending.
