Some aspects of the code are written badly.

[x] Move into MainWindow class in main.py.
[x] Better approach for error handling.
[x] Remove try-except statements.
[ ] Minimize the use of some functions (basically decreasing loc).

I believe that the main point of this issue was to make the code better to deal with. A goal which was achieved through the first three points. There is still, however, some repetition in code that may be later tackled. For now, I think closing the issue is acceptable.
