Are there any plans of supporting PHP 8.x on this, @salavert ?

Hi @mvhirsch, I´m no longer developing on PHP but I will gladly accept any PR that improves the library.

That's fine. Sadly I cannot contribute to this package either (just removed it from my project a moment ago).

Raising the question: are there any maintainers willing to help? If so, please contact them. If not, than please mark this project as archived on github and as abondoned on packagist.
