kana only words are bugged

What Caused the Bug/Error to Show Up?

almost every time i review a kana only word my screen becomes dim and the answer field doesnt even show up. when i press the home button on the top left nothing comes up and when i press the enter button it just shows me the details of the word but wont let me progress.
