ical requires user/pass but should not - possible old bug resurfacing #8370

Seems like this same issue that was addressed in this CLOSED bug - https://github.com/salesagility/SuiteCRM/issues/4399

in Apple Calendar - when subscribing to the iCAL feed, the user/pass is required and the sync will work as expected.

In outlook.com and google calendar - the feed is not syncing - and there is no user/pass being requested / no facility to provide the credentials.

Expected Behavior The calendar event in SuiteCRM should sync to Google Calendar or Outlook.com calendar

Actual Behavior The calendar event in SuiteCRM is not syncing in Google Calendar or Outlook.com calendar

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Create a test calendar event in SuiteCRM (eg. Meeting)
  2. in outlook.com - 'add calendar'
  3. enter URL from User's Profile for 'ical' and SAVE
  4. Wait for Calendar to refresh
  5. The calendar event should sync but it does not.

Environment SuiteCRM Version 7.10.10 Sugar Version 6.5.25 (Build 344)

There's one more reincarnation of this bug...

All included, it's #4399, #5820 and now this one.

Sorry- I was trying to see if it was raised again but must have missed these ones - I guess this one will remain open now.

I will see if our guys have the bandwidth to fix this.
