Integration with SpyHopper #22

The Canadian SpyHopper site has some great data exploration and visualization features and in 2023 is surfacing observations with latency of a few days. This card is meant to investigate the possibility of data exchanges between Acartia and SpyHopper (e.g. visualizing US data using the web app) or building of open source code that benefits both Acartia members and SpyHopper/partners.

@LucyQuayle As we begin to have more opportunities to label audio signals not just to ecotype/pod/matriline, but occasionally individual, a logistical hurdle is naming them consistently.

Do you know of an SRKW list of all current (and past) individual SRKWs?

I'm been using this Gsheet of Bigg's matrilines and individuals, but perhaps there are others?

In 2024, I learned about a suite of new features within SpyHopper, including a suite of new map layers:

These are accessed by mousing over the layer icon in the upper right of the Map tab.

@LucyQuayle Are the color coding of dots seasons?

I'm guessing: Blue = winter Green = spring Red = summer Yellow = fall
