Two ideas for feature requests that relate to voluntary or legal guidance for boaters near the endangered Southern Resident Killer Whales:
1) if vessel speed is greater than 7 knots and boater is in an active SRKW zone, warn boater to slow down to avoid breaking the current law in WA State. A similar feature seems to exist within the Manatee app. Perhaps the same alert could be issued for other whale species, but with a more general (voluntary) motivation and a general conservation message, e.g. "See a blow, go slow."
2) assuming new legislation becomes implemented law in 2025, if a boat is nearing 1000 yards of a trusted SRKW observation that is recent (less than 30 minutes old?), issue a special alert to the boater about not breaking the law -- an alert beyond any previous area-based warning and guidance.
