#milestone 2.0.0 migrate the element to Polymer 2 #8

Hi @cecilia-sanare !

As I need to use this cool element in a Polymer 2 project I suggest you this pull request to migrate to a Polymer 2 ready element. I also migrate the demo so you can test it directly from itself.

Hey @NeilujD! Thanks for your contribution.

Your change is geared towards adding support 2.0, however it also drops support for all 1.0 versions. Instead I opted to follow the same path as the Polymer team and support both versions.

I just published version 2.0.0 which should support both Polymer 1.9 and Polymer 2.x. Let me know if you run into any issues!

Side Note: polymer-cli does an awesome job of allowing you to test both 1.x and 2.x!
