With the implementation of semantic-release in #25, both the changelog and release tag are lacking the history of commits prior to semantic-release. It is very useful to have even a brief summary of developments in this repo up to v0.5.0. Once the update to the changelog is merged, the same content can be used to edit the v0.5.0 tag. There is no requirement to produce tags for the whole history -- everything can be collected under v0.5.0.
