f5 runner select partition from F5 #40130

Open HackyPenguin opened 7 years ago

HackyPenguin commented 7 years ago

HI guys I seem to be unable to use the f5 runner to select from any pools apart from common.

salt-run f5.check_pool loadbalancer pool seems to report true if the node is in the common partition however if in any other partition it reports false. appending ~partition~ to the pool name does not seem to help however it does in the f5 state. IS there anyway to get this functionality in the runner?

I would love to be able to do other partitions, unfortunately there are only certain things that you can do with the other partitions in the salt runner, and you have to specify the partition like

~partition~pool, or something like that, you will have to check out the pycontrol documentation.

It would be great to make that easier to use and expand it.

I am tagging this as a Feature request.

Thanks, Daniel

salt-run f5 is unusable since we cannot choose a partition.
