Hi there! Welcome to the Salt Community! Thank you for making your first contribution. We have a lengthy process for issues and PRs. Someone from the Core Team will follow up as soon as possible. In the meantime, here’s some information that may help as you continue your Salt journey. Please be sure to review our Code of Conduct. Also, check out some of our community resources including:
There are lots of ways to get involved in our community. Every month, there are around a dozen opportunities to meet with other contributors and the Salt Core team and collaborate in real time. The best way to keep track is by subscribing to the Salt Community Events Calendar. If you have additional questions, email us at saltproject@vmware.com. We’re glad you’ve joined our community and look forward to doing awesome things with you!
The community has moved from Slack to Discord somewhat recently and are still I the process of updating documentation.
Could you please clarify where you found the broken Slack link?
Hopefully I found all of them, but I'm not 100% sure.
It's present on the README page of the repository.
The welcome bot here on GitHub still posts the Slack link when a new reporter submits an issue.
Darn, there in master and 3006.x branch  always a missed place
Closing since associated PR https://github.com/saltstack/salt/pull/66850 is merged and will be merge-forwarded to the other branches.
@dmurphy18 Any news on this one? https://github.com/saltstack/salt/pull/66769

Description I'm new to the Salt community, and when I clicked the Slack community link, it directed me to an unrelated site.
Suggested Fix Admins need to update with the new link.
