Valid email incorrectly flagged out as an invalid email

As per the constraints provided, a__a@exam.com is a valid email. The double underscore here does not violate any constraints given.

However when trying to add a contact with this email, the user is given the error message that the email is in the wrong format.

• this just changes the double underscore to a single underscore
• rest of the contact's details/fields remain unchanged to show the error message is due to the double underscore

Team's Response

This bug is accepted. We have changed the severity to low as most of the popular email providers (Gmail, Hotmail, Outlook) do not allow underscores.
