Dear Prostar developer team, Thank you for developing this nice tool. Quick question: Is there any way in Prostar to select and export a given protein/peptide that is missing entirely from a condition? Thanks

Yes, this is possible but not directly: you have to pre-filter the dataset. First of all, you have to filter the dataset with the "Quanti. metadata filtering" tool in the "Data processing/Filter data" menu. For example, the following parameters must be set:

The filtering must then be validated, which will execute the query and keep in the dataset only the selected entities (at this point, the dataset will only contain entities that have missing values in at least one condition). This is a pre-filtering. Then, it is necessary to export the dataset in Excel format with the export tool (via the "Data manager" menu). Be careful, do not use the export buttons in the data table displays (Descriptive Statistics) because you will lose the link between the quantification data and the metadata (These export buttons only export the visible table , not all three tables) So, in the export tool, you select the 'Filtered' dataset and export it. Then, in the Excel file, you can find the entity (protein or peptide) of interest. This way, the search is less difficult thanks to the pre-filtering Is that answering your question?

That's very useful. Thanks! I am new to the Prostar and trying to learn the details.
