Those throats that connect the free-flow network to the washcoat network (Interconnecting throats) play a crucial role in the simulation, since they are a link between the free-flow and washcoat. They have decisive effect on almost all results (including the conversion) that we are seeking to obtain. Until now, we have considered their hydraulic_conductance as 1e-50, which means that we do not want any reactant to enter the washcoat by stokesflow and advection. On the other hand, their diffusive_conductance and ad_diff_conductance are given by mixed_diffsion (to consider the Knudsen diffusion) and ad_diff models. This procedure seems rational, but we have to be more obsessive about them. Any mistake in this point, can change our results significantly. It seems that in previous studies some researchers have considered a film diffusion in situations like this, . We have to check this.
