SCEditor bug #53

Open ghost opened 10 years ago

ghost commented 10 years ago

Hi,

I'm having issues with when u copy paste text into the editor, only a few words show up and the rest of the copied text just "disappears".. Sometimes When writing a long text it doesn't make u write more than a few sentences.. Sometimes not even 1 sentence.

Any fix to this would be great so I can use it again, because I like it..

Cheers

I can't reproduce the error you're getting. Can you provide some other details, like the environment in which it happens and eventually a link to your site?

ghost commented 10 years ago

Sure. Note that my site is in Dutch. Just follow the green buttons, that are the reply & new thread buttons :)

I will activate the editor right now so u can take a look. Please let me know when ur finished checking so I can disable it again.

Cheers

Checked it out and still unable to reproduce it. It might be an error related to your browser: I'm using the latest version of Chrome.

So am I. I'm producing and upload a sample video to youtube right now for you to make it clear what I mean. I will give u the link as soon it is uploaded.

Cheers.

Thanks for looking into this.

Watched it, and it's really odd. I'm just a collaborator for the MyBB part and I am not directly involved in its development so I can't truly say what's wrong. I'd have to analyze the source code but I'm too busy at the moment: so sorry that this is happening to you and I cannot help.

However, I suppose this may be caused by the format of the text you are copying (the editor automatically strips out unsupported tags, such as

and certain HTML5 tags) or maybe because the text contains unsupported characters. I'd wait for Sam to reply, though he is currently away and inactive.

Thanks for reporting! I've just tried to check the video but its marked as private. If you could make it visible it would be really useful to help debug this. Also which browser are you using?
