Hi, sorry I've taken a while to reply to this. I'll need to talk to some of my collaborators, but I think it should be fine to incorporate the code into your package (as long as the relevant people are cited etc.). There was no deliberate decision on the license no, I will look into applying an open-source license though, as we are definitely happy for people to use and modify the code.
We're interested in incorporating the Emmanoulopoulos (2013) method into our package stingray. Since we'd rather not reinvent the wheel, would you be interested in contributing your code into our package (we're trying to build up a larger, centralized code base for time series analysis in astronomy in general)?
Or if you'd rather keep it separate, would you allow us to use it? In this context, I noticed that your code has no open-source license. Is that a deliberate decision? Are you aware that without a license nobody is allowed to use, copy, distribute or modify your code without your written permission?
