Small, special purpose, dynamic cores for building drones. Distinguished from normal dynamic cores by certain limitations (eg having to stay within a certain range of the player or a specified static core), and perhaps certain advantages (maybe being able to host low-altitude anti-grav engines of some sort).
You could probably do it with a normal dynamic core, but I can see how it might be helpful from a game-design point of view to make this a separate thing with some unique attributes.
