I've submitted 20+ requests to upvote, and only about three made it into the list.
That isn't a problem - maybe my ideas are rubbish - but lots of my suggestions have made it in other forms, so mine may gave been rejected as duplicates.
I have also noticed however that some ideas are in the list multiple times.
I don't care who gets there first (or who gets the credit), but it would be good if you:
merge the existing issues that are duplicates
tell the people who submitted them where the merged issue is
allocated the sum of the votes from the original issues to the merged one
mention all the people who suggested it in the merged issue
in future, let people know if their idea is a duplicate
There are some good ideas whose vote would be much higher if they were in the list just once. Not everyone will have upvoted the same idea in all the different places.
To be completely clear, the most important thing here is that you should fix the duplicates.
