Support FFV1 in MXF #28

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 9 years ago

I was attempting to remux an FFV1 video stream into MXF, but it appears that
this is not supported. ffmbc 0.6 rc2 provides the error

[mxf @ 0x101001200] track 0: could not find essence container ul, codec not
currently supported in container

Would adding FFV1 support to ffmbc be a possibility?

hello

ffv1 is still supporting by AVI and MKV.
Is there a way to support MXF? Because FFV1+MXF would be a very good solution
for long term archiving (lossless) of video/film.

Archives like archivematica are using the FFv1 Codec for long term preservation
(with the MKV wrapper). But MKV (and AVI) are seen as not very professional
wrapper formats in the video world. Just the AVI wrapper is supported in many
Video Editing tools or transcoders. MKV is still in the "bluray-rip" corner,
and for me it seems it will be there a long time.

I know, this ticket is set as invalid, but can you say me how I could get FFV1
support for MXF?

Best Regards
Chris
