Large GIF files play very slowly #441

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Download an excessively large gif (
https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/-ME0kQV2zFZU/TmtO57NQdZI/AAAAAAAAD1A/xkb6HIQ3p
I8/s797/_boat_Micael_Reynaud_1000_p20.gif for example)
2. Open with Xee
3. Compare to any browser (I've specifically tried chrome/safari) output or
quicklook output

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Expected output is a full speed gif comparable to quicklook or chrome/safari.
What you get is a slow gif that's about half to a third of the expected speed.

Please use labels and text to provide additional information.
Using Xee 3.3 on a late 2013 macbook pro retina.

The gif I suggest using is just an example. Any gif over around 5 megabytes
seems to slow down considerably and not run at it's 'supposed' framerate.
Smaller gifs work fine but large ones look awful and run slowly.

This seems to play at normal speed on my computer, a 2013 Air. Something odd
must be going on here... Any further information? Does it still happen?
