Would also love to see Close / Remove or even Prevent Duplicate Tabs functionality backed in. A Workaround is an additional Addon: https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/clutter-free-prevent-dupl/iipjdmnoigaobkamfhnojmglcdbnfaaf

This will probably come as an option you click once and automatically closes duplicates and ideally tell you what/how many it closed. I'll look into duplicates prevention, as it might be frustrating to some users, but maybe it can be enabled optionally.
