Question: Is this project abandoned? #1142

There are tons of open issues with no responses from the repo owner, and a growing list of pull requests that have yet to even be looked at as far as I can tell.

Is this project abandoned? I think that if @sammchardy can no longer to afford maintenance, he should make that clear so that he can either get some help or transfer it to someone more inclined.
