alsa "underrun occured", causes (?) fps drop #80

The game runs perfectly for about 10 seconds, then fps drop to about 30. The
console also gives a few "ALSA lib pcm.c:7223:(snd_pcm_recover) underrun occured
" errors.

Fps will go up again to 60 if I go back to the menu (but not if I just "retry"
another game).

I am running debian stable (squeeze), and using the sdl script (other do not
work at all).
I had to install libsdl-mixer1.2 and libsdl-ttf2.0-0.

This happens with 7.5.0, and also with 7.0.0 (didn't check others). There was
no such problem before upgrading debian to squeeze (though I don't remember if
the snd_pcm problem was already there).

Hope this helps, as the game is unplayable for me now.

Please stop using SDL version. It's Java library SDLJava is heavily outdated
and I'm sure that recent Debian's sound system update broke the compatibility
with SDLJava.
So, please buy better graphics card to run Slick version, or wait until we
release a new version of NullpoMino.

The reason I used sdl are the numerous issues I have with the slick version.
See issue 81:http://code.google.com/p/nullpomino/issues/detail?id=81
Swing version is worse (cannot play at all).

It seems unlikely that a better graphic card would do any good (had the same
issue with an integrated intel card and an nvidia one (with direct rendering
working and 17k fps in glxgears)).

Let me also take this occasion to thank all the devs for this great game
(notwithstanding these few quirks).
