Hi Sam,

Stumbled upon your repo here - just a suggestion regarding shiny. I've previously had a resume/portfolio that was in shiny and I can tell you it's difficult to maintain and maybe a bit of overkill.

If you take a look into rmarkdown, blogdown or other markdown-based frameworks, they are much easier to work with and maintain. They can also be hosted for free on github (since they are not shinyapps) or other services like netlify.

Have a look here: matt-kumar.netlify.app

If you're up for entertaining it, also look at Quarto (which again can be used in R and generates static content that can be hosted on github or netlify).

Good afternoon Matt,

Thank you for the feedback! I was looking for a way to stand out as a job candidate, and with all my rshiny skills I figured this would be the best way to do so. Which is why I am so happy you reached out! I kept thinking to myself there has to be a better way to put out a well polished resume/portfolio without having to pay to keep my app deployed. I will look into Quarto and see what I can put together.
