[Feature request] Support for sui module #67

Closed ghost closed 3 months ago

ghost commented 3 months ago

I fully understand that this app is not intended for root users, but please support the sui module.

samolego commented 3 months ago

Doesn't it work already with sui? You only have to grant the permission manually.

ghost commented 3 months ago

This screen does not appear, so I cannot grant permissions. Screenshot_20240602-224332

You cannot uninstall or restore with Canta using the SUI module. Is this problem bad in my procedure? Or a bug?

samolego commented 3 months ago

Hum, I thought you can manually grant sui access, as I did something to support it. The dialog isn't requested yet, would love to get someone with SUI installed to help ...

ghost commented 3 months ago

Is there anything I can do? I can't program ... I hope the problem can be solved.

samolego commented 3 months ago

No, only wait ...

ghost commented 3 months ago

Are you going to support SHIZUKU and Super User authority? Would you like to be able to do uninstalled with Super User authority?

samolego commented 3 months ago

I'd like to however I haven't worked with SUI yet. I'm all open for PRs though, for those who know how to implement that.

ghost commented 3 months ago

Sorry if this is hard to understand.

Is it possible to grant superuser privileges to canta and uninstall it without using the sui module?

For example, like Package Manager.

samolego commented 3 months ago

Currently not.

ghost commented 3 months ago

I see.... Hopefully someday these features will be implemented.

Please keep up the good work on the application development! I'll be rooting for you!

ghost commented 3 months ago

canta was compatible with the sui module. My procedure was wrong.

samolego commented 3 months ago

Did you have to manually enable it?

ghost commented 3 months ago

yes. You need to do it manually.

If I could display a screen like the one in the image, I wouldn't need to enable it manually, so I'd like this feature to be implemented. 335870044-b988fb6a-9399-44cb-ae87-10db8f025867
